Deer Park Band and Choir Night at Shakey’s Pizza – 9602 North Newport Highway, Spokane, WA 99218

25% of all net food sales from 5:30pm – 8:30pm on Thursday, February 9th will go toward Band and Choir Boosters to help send the Band and Choir students to the Heritage Festival in Seattle in April.

There will be a Class of 2013 meeting during break in Mrs. Demarest’s room-G-125 on Tuesday, February 7th to kick off the Class t-shirt, hoodie, and rally towel fundraiser. All juniors need to be there to get an order form and see the awesome designs.

Free FAFSA Clinic at DPHS!

DPHS will be offering a free FAFSA Clinic to assist parents in filling out the FREE APPLICATION for FEDERAL STUDENT AID. If your child plans to attend college next fall you will have to fill out the FAFSA in order for your child to qualify for financial aid.

The 2012 FAFSA CLINIC for parents will be on Thursday, January 26 @ 5:30 in the high school library computer lab. Space is limited to the number of computers, so please RSVP to Catherine Oviatt at 468-3528.

Semester 1 Finals

Deer Park High School will be on “Finals” Bell Schedule January 25-27. Students will be on “Early Release” on these days. The bell will ring at 12:10 p.m. for students to pick up sack lunches and head to the buses by 12:25 p.m. January 25 will be Periods 1 & 6, January 26 will be Periods 2 & 5 and January 27 will be Periods 3 & 4. January 27 is the last day of semester 1. January 30 is the beginning of semester 2. There will be Class “Refresher” meetings on January 30. Grades will be available on-line as soon as Febraury 2. Grades will appear on transcripts and be mailed out around February 6.Grades can also be reviewed on our website @ www.dpsd.org.

Class fees/fines: Class fees and/or fines can be paid by using check, cash or money order at teh DPHS Cashier Window. Please bring exact amount as no change can be given. Class fees are due no later than the end of the semester in which the class was taken. Transcripts will be held if your child owes any class fees and/or fines. Students with fees/fines will be given a statement during the February 2 advisory, and it is your child’s responsibility to report his/her class fees and/or fines to parents since statement will not be mailed.

We would love your help supporting the Deer Park Band/Choir/Music program!!

And it’s easy!! Simply go to the Bruchis located at 10406 North Division Street (Hawthorne & Division, next to Didiers) between Monday, January 16th and Friday, January 20th. When you order, let them know you are there to support Deer Park Music. We will receive 10% of the profits for that week! Thanks for the help!!

Come join us at the next boosters meeting on Jan 23rd in the band room: Officers meeting – 5:30pm. Band boosters meeting – 6:00pm and choir & band boosters meeting – 6:30pm.

Miss Deer Park Practice Begins!

Any junior Deer Park School District girl who is interested in participating in Miss Deer Park should plan to attend the first practice scheduled for Wednesday, January 11 from 6 to 8:00 p.m. in the Deer Park High School theater!

Support Senior Class-Spaghetti Feed

Mark your calendars and plan to attend the Senior Class of 2012 “All-Nighter” Spaghetti Feed at the Deer Park Eagles! Spaghetti Feed is Friday, January 13, 2012, from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. (or until gone!) Menu items: Spaghetti, garlic bread and salad. Adults-$6.00 & Children ages 10 & under-$4.00.

Bring extra dollars and bid on silent auction items!

Stag Wrestling Recognized

Deer Park Wrestling has received a lot of attention lately. The Inland Northwest Sportswriters and Broadcasters have nominated the wrestling team for “Team of the Year” and head coach, Matt Jorgensen has been nominated for “Coach of the Year”. Clayton Community Spaghetti Dinner

Deer Park School District is hosting a free spaghetti dinner for parents and community members who live in the Clayton area on Thursday, January 12, 2012 from 5:30-7:00pm at the Clayton Grange—-4478 Railroad Road. Superintendent Becky Cooke will be sharing important news and information about the Deer Park School District.
