From SIRS Knowledge Source, to eLibrary, to the ProQuest newspaper and journal search, you’ve got access to incredible information resources. The ProQuest suite of tools offers a dynamic collection of classroom-focused, educational resources that support the needs of all curricular areas. eLibrary is the perfect resource for delivering full-text and multimedia reference essentials. The easy-to-use interface makes research easy. Students find the answers they need from more than 2,000 full-text magazines, newspapers, books, and transcripts–plus thousands of maps, pictures, web links, and audio/video files. Users can sort their results by relevance, date, file size, Lexile or reading level, publication, and source, while librarians and educators can find content that’s directly linked to state and national teaching standards.
CultureGrams go beyond mere facts and figures to deliver an insider’s perspective on daily life and culture, including the history, customs, and lifestyles of the world’s people. The growing diversity of the U.S. population and the new emphasis on globalism and multiculturalism make CultureGrams an indispensable resource for teachers and students to understand their country and their world.
SIRS Knowledge Source (SKS) is a comprehensive database portal which is comprised of several distinct reference databases including SIRS Researcher, SIRS Government Reporter, SIRS Renaissance, SKS WebSelect, SIRS Discoverer, and Discoverer WebFind. Updated daily, SKS provides relevant, credible information on social issues, science, history, government, the arts and humanities. Full-text articles and Internet resources are selected from thousands of domestic and international publications and respected organizations.
SIRS Discoverer is a general reference resource for young researchers that makes learning fun and intuitive. SIRS Discoverer helps students in grades 1-9 develop their research, writing, language and computer skills. The database includes selected full-text articles and images from more than 1,600 domestic and international newspapers, magazines and government documents.Additionally, the articles are 100% full-text and include images from more than 1,900 domestic and international newspapers, magazines, and government documents, along with 9,000+ educational weblinks via the Discoverer WebFind content set.
WOIS/The Career Information System is a private, nonprofit organization that researches and distributes information about Washington careers, schools and training programs. The WOIS offices are located in Olympia, Washington and have been serving career builders in Washington for over 30 years. WOIS provides detailed information about more than 500 civilian occupations, the educational programs that train people for those occupations, and the schools that offer that training. WOIS also provides information about military occupations. All WOIS components are linked together, allowing users to begin their research from any point and still wind up with all the information they need:

You’ll just need to get Deer Park’s username and password from your building librarian, or alternatively, any of your teachers can access the login information from the staff edition of the online research center (accessible via staff login). Once you’ve got the username and password information, just click on any of the product logos above to be taken to a login screen – anywhere you have an internet connection, you now have easy access to volumes of dynamic information!
