What a Fall for DP Athletics
It’s been a great fall sports season at DPHS – here’s a quick run-down as these teams head into regional and state playoffs:
Cross country – Both the boys and girls teams qualified for the state championships in Pasco. The girls won the district trophy coming in 1st place over a tough Cheney team. Congrats ladies! For the boys, hard work and dedication has paid off, and for the first time in 33 years, the boys runners qualified the entire team to state. They came in 3rd at Plantes Ferry Park and they too will travel to Pasco. Congrats to the JV girls too, coming in 2nd in the JV race.
Girls soccer - The Lady Stags qualified 4th in the league and will host a playoff game Tuesday, Nov. 3rd at Deer Park Elementary vs. the Colville Indians. Game time will be 3pm. Entrance to the game will be from the south parking lot and will be $6 for adults, $4 for students and senior citizens.
Football - The 7 – 2 Stags are vying for a state playoff berth hosting the final home contest against the Colville Indians on Thursday, Nov. 5th at 7pm. If they win, they are in!!!! If they lose, they can still qualify through a tie-breaker possibility.
JV football finishes has one game remaining against Pullman and presently have a 6 – 2 record.
C-FB will play their final game vs. Colville
